The Lupus Awareness train stopped at the St. Mary's Senior High School on WORLD LUPUS DAY 💜. This was the maiden edition of our school invasion.
Lupus is an autoimmune disease that makes one's immune system instead of protecting organs and tissues of the body rather attack them. 90% of people living with lupus are women of childbearing age 15 - 44, thus the urgent need to extend our advocacy and education to schools.
The enthusiasm of the girls was unmatched and commendable. The girls learnt a lot about lupus for the first time.
We are grateful to the Management and school authorities of St Mary's Senior High School for giving us the platform to impact.
