Empowering Patients with Rheumatic Diseases

At The Rheumatology Initiative (tRi) Ghana, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive support to individuals affected by autoimmune diseases. Our services are designed to address both immediate needs and long-term challenges, empowering patients and their families to navigate their conditions with greater confidence and resilience.

Patient Assistance Program

What is the Patient Assistance Program?

The tRi Patient Assistance Program is the arm of tRi and is responsible for providing financial and medical support to rheumatic patients by providing discounted medication, free medical consultation, etc.

Over the past eleven (11) years, we have supported over 516 patients with lifesaving treatments, an average of 57 patients a year. We have provided free or discounted emergency medication to over 117 patients.

On average, these can cost between GHCȻ1,500 to GHȻ2,000 a patient, monthly maintenance/continual drugs for 325 patients and free or discounted lab tests to 61 patients; 13 patients received emergency medical services.
